Hi,welcome to my Boatman-on-the-Humber photo gallery,started April 1st 2006.
As you can guess by the title I work as a Boatman,covering all of the Docks on the north side of the Humber as well as the Jetties at Saltend.I've been on the Docks for around 8 years now,starting off in charge of berthing P&O Ferries then moving over to a private Boatage firm,(more variety,as no two days are the same).
I've always liked photography and started on ships about 12 months ago through a friend and ship enthusiast Christopher Cartwright,I started taking photos for him as he doesnt get around as much as he used to,then the interest kicked on from there,amassing quite a collection of my own.
Future updates will see photos from the now,my collection,as well as other photos taken by good friend Dave H Smith and other donated collections.
The majority of my photos are taken with,from the 7th June,a Nikon Coolpix 8800 (8MP),earlier images are taken with a Samsung A6 (6MP),it usually says under the picture as to what camera has been used and are shown as taken in their natural state,using auto setting or backlight which lets in a lttle more light in dull conditions,no pictures are doctored in any way,(unless stated in the commentry or under the pictures concerned)
To benefit from seeing the full picture on the screen,after clicking the thumbnail image,without having to scroll up and down press F11 at the top of your keyboard,obviously repress to go back to original state.
